Personal Account Funds & Bridging into Boy Scouts: effective 2005
Regarding the distribution of personal account funds with the graduation of the Cub Scout from Pack 217 and subsequent transfers into a Boy Scout Troop of his choice:
No funds will be transferable to any other Scout, even a sibling or other relative. No funds will be disbursed to any boy not continuing in the Scouting program.
Because of the uncertainty of the Scout's commitment to follow through on his decision to be an active Boy Scout, personal account funds will be held in the Pack's account until such time that
- the Scout needs the funds for an upcoming activity with the Troop
- the Scout has been with the Troop for a total of six (6) months from the time of his graduation and bridging.
Unpaid Monies Policy
Effective 4/24/2012, any scout not having paid their Pack dues or other fees in full will no longer receive advancements purchased by the Pack. Any advancements earned will be held until the balance of monies owed has been paid. At such time, any advancements earned will be awarded to the Scout at the next scheduled Pack meeting.
Any scouts owing money in arrears from previous years will not be rechartered in December of each year.
This policy will go into effect on March 1 of every calendar year and will remain in effect through the duration of the Scouting year. At the end of the Scouting year, this policy will be placed on hold for all Scouts currently in good standing with the Pack. For every Scouting year, Scouts have until February to pay their Pack dues.
This policy is being put into effect due to the large number of Scouts who have not paid their Pack dues on time.
